Third Party Announces Release Records Debuts “Alive” Out Now

After announcing their return to original productions by releasing twelve of their own new tracks over the next twelve months, the latest single from Third Party comes to fruition with “Alive,” out now via their brand new imprint Release Records.

Paying homage to their first single, Release is the premiere label from Third Party. The inaugural track “Alive” is a bouncing and synth-heavy hit, an electro-charged anthem that sets the tone for the exhilarating year Third Party has ahead.

Third Party explains,

“The day we released our first single ‘Release,’ we knew we wanted to set up our own record label. Release Records has been brewing since then. For us, it’s an opportunity to pursue creative opportunities that releasing music on other labels doesn’t allow us to. Of the twelve records we have lined up for the next twelve months, a lot of them are still on other labels outside of Release, but Release Records will be a home for our sound, and other producers making the sound we are most passionate about right now.”

Releasing their own forthcoming tracks on the third day of the third week every month, Essex-born producers Third Party’s hard-hitting dedication to their craft has been wholly apparent throughout their four-year rise to fame. From collaborating with Steve Angello to remixing Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, and Sigma’s UK #1 hit “Nobody To Love,” Third Party’s strong production prowess has helped to cement their universal appeal.

Referred to by The Glitch Mob as the fourth member of the group, live setup “The Blade” has been on tour with them since the beginning of 2014. “The Blade” fuses dystopian futuristic design with state-of-the-art custom control software to create a digital live performance system that is as functional and it is mesmerizing, and this documentary, which has been almost two years in the making, will finally shed some light on how it all works and how the project came to fruition.
“We want to play electronic music with the same feel and drama of live rock,” says The Glitch Mob. “It’s always been our goal to break down the wall around electronic music performance and create something more engaging than staring at a laptop.”
To bring their live shows to life, the trio enlisted Matt Davis and his team of music tech masterminds, roboticists, and hackers at Name the Machine to create an innovative and completely unique performance technology platform. By taking advantage of the latest advancements in computing power and cutting-edge, customizable music software, their live performance changes the game for how all electronic music is performed live.

Augmenting the tech wizardry, their stage and visual production was designed by the visionary Martin Phillips and his team at Bionic League (whose work includes live performance experience design for Daft Punk, Kaskade, NIN, deadmau5, Kanye West, and more). The Blade was named one of the ’50 Best Things’ witnessed by Rolling Stone at Coachella, calling to attention their “dayglow synths,” “relentless beat barrages,” and “face melting, arena-ready visuals.”

Upcoming shows include HARD Summer, Sasquatch, North Coast Festival,

“[The Blade] resembles a futuristic machine of violent design, with which they pair custom software that allows them to switch live roles on the fly, like a traditional rock band that—instead of swapping solos—can trade off entire instruments mid-song.”
-Creator’s Project
“With a battery of touchscreens and drum triggers, The Glitch Mob dropped what was the most impressive set of electronica on the festival, which is saying a lot on a bill that features some of the biggest DJs in the world.”

-Houston Press

“Sonically complex beatscapes with a heavy dose of aggression, reflecting the group’s influences of Portishead, Nine Inch Nails and Tool, but still wholly its own.”
“The Glitch Mob’s new album, “Love Death Immortality,” is so robust and dynamic that it deserves a subgenre tag all its own. How about “rock-and-roll?”
-The Washington Post
“The Glitch Mob take EDM/rock fusion further than anyone…monumentally scaled and monumentally gleaming.”

U.K. alt-pop duo THE TING TINGSKatie White & Jules De Martino–have just announced they will return to the U.S. for a series of summer dates. The tour will kick off Thursday, June 18 at Wire in Berwyn, IL and includesrescheduled dates at San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom on July 1 and The Wiltern in Los Angeles July 2. A full list of tour dates is below.

While making this record we got inspired by clubs from the USA. From Studio 54 to CBGB, we want to capture the energy of those places in our performances on our summer 2015 U.S. tour,” say THE TING TINGS, who also did a select run of dates earlier this year. “We’re coming again America. See you soon.” View below critical quotes from their last series of shows stateside.

This announcement comes on the heels of the duo’s recent performance of their single “Wrong Club” on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Watch online now here:

“Wrong Club” appears on THE TING TINGS’ third studio album SUPER CRITICAL, out now on Finca/[PIAS]. The song continues to gain major support at HOT AC radio, this week breaking into the Mediabase Top 30. “Wrong Club” has already been playlisted at SiriusXM’s “Venus,” Mix 101.9/Chicago,KLLC (Alice)/San Francisco, KALC (Alice)/Denver, Fresh94/D.C., WBMX/Boston, WWMX/Baltimore, KAMX/Austin among many others.  The band will perform “Wrong Club” on VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz” show onTuesday May 26th

THE TING TINGS–known for their massive hits“That’s Not My Name”and“Shut Up and Let Me Go,” among others–approached this new album differently. Feeling uninspired, the two sought out an adventure in late 2012 which took them to Ibiza. While there, someone introduced Katie and Jules toDuran Duran‘s stalwart guitarist Andy Taylor who offered to help sift through some old demos and became co-producer of this project. Songs began emerging. The result is SUPER CRITICAL, a hook-laden, modern disco-funk opus.

Paul Kalkbrenner Releases Video For ‘Cloud Rider’

Debut Music Video From Award Winning Creative Agency Droga5

‘Cloud Rider’ Is Debut Single From Kalkbrenner’s Seventh Studio Album – Released August 7 via Columbia Records | Sony International

Watch Video For ‘Cloud Rider’:

Paul Kalkbrenner today unveiled the music video for ‘Cloud Rider’ the debut single from his forthcoming album 7, and the first in a trilogy of music videos called FLORIAN.

The FLORIAN trilogy features the tracks ‘Cloud Rider,’ ‘Mothertrucker,’ and ‘Feed your Head.’ The series follows a fictional character named Florian; a young foreigner who compulsively shares the music he loves with strangers, though ends up getting rejected. It is meant to parallel the peculiar outsider role of the electronic dance music genre in the US. Despite its origins in Chicago and Detroit, the electronic style to this day hasn’t arrived in mainstream America and is paradoxically considered ‘foreign.’

FLORIAN was written by Creative Directors Alexander Nowak and Felix Richter of advertising agency Droga5 New York, and directed by Bjoern Ruehmann of Furlined.FLORIAN is the first music video project that Droga5 has undertaken.

Whether breaking chart records, selling out arenas in Europe, starring in a movie or soundtracking Berlin’s electronic explosion, Paul Kalkbrenner has lived and breathed techno since growing up in the shadow of the Wall in East Berlin, where he continues to live today.

His new album is both a continuation and evolution of the singular style that has seen Paul amass millions of fans world-wide. Musically as uncompromising as any of his previous albums, 7 sees Paul return to using vocals for the first time since his record-breaking anthem, ‘Sky & Sand’.

After signing with Columbia | Sony International Paul was the first artist ever be given access to the master vaults and tapes of Sony and Columbia, where he had the chance to take samples from icons ranging from Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, to Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan. Kalkbrenner ended up using vocals from D-Train (Cloud Rider), Jefferson Airplane and Luther Vandross.

7 comes at the end of a milestone twelve months for Kalkbrenner, last year he was asked by the German Government to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, by performing in front of Brandenburg Gate to over 500,000 people. While in March, after releasing on independent labels for 15 years (10 years at Bpitch Control and 5 years on his own label), Paul signed a long-term deal with Sony International | Columbia.

The release of 7 will be accompanied by a brand new Paul Kalkbrenner live show, featuring a completely bespoke stage and production design to accompany the new material.
