This April, Aussie punk band The Death Set are embarking on a short string of dates on the East Coast of the US, taking them through Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Brooklyn. They’ll be accompanied by their countrymates Wax Witches, ensuring that these shows will be seriously messy fun, the way punk is meant to be.
New York City based The Death Set originally hails from The Gold Coast, Australia. It is there where Johnny Siera and Dan Walker met, drawn together by the local experimental music scene and their love of punk rock, electronic music, and hip-hop. Always strange and ridiculously catchy, The Death Set return to their punk origins with King Babies, their latest EP and first release for Dim Mak joined by hard-hitting drummer Will Broussard. Capturing the mayhem of their live shows, King Babies is both noisy and melodic with maximum energy. Produced and mixed by Dan Walker in his Brooklyn studio The Submarine, King Babies is a collection of what people have grown to love from this bizarre art punk band.
April 24 – Philadelphia – FYLF at The Barbary (with Wax Witches)
April 25 – Baltimore – Gold Bar (with Wax Witches, The Sneaks, Judge Metal)
April 26 – Brooklyn – Kristina Tequila & Stephanie Covell Birthday Party at secret loft announced day off on The Death Set socials (with Wax Witches, Lil Internet, Dust, Cuntmafia, DJ Dog Dick, Weird Magic & more)

Next on Onelove is the multi-talented Jimi Frew & Sherry St. Germain with ‘Trouble’ set for release on the 16th May 2014.
Following on from his mainroom weapon, ‘Jungle Khat’ , rising producer & Tommy Trash’s right hand man & protégé Jimi Frew returns on ‘Trouble’ this time with a gentle build with smooth, sultry vocals before dropping into a thudding bass line and heavy drums, creating another peak time dance floor filler.
Working as an executive producer and songwriter, he co-composed the scores for notable Hollywood productions including Steven Soderbergh’s ‘Magic Mike’. As well as that Jimi has produced a string of big-room underground records that have generated support from the likes of Tiesto, David Guetta, Hardwell, Tommy Trash, Dada Life, R3hab, Swanky Tunes and more.
Sébastien Léger has released his new single “Come Back,” the first on his label Mistakes Music of the year. A fun and funky house track that echoes the classic house vibe and displays Sebastien Leger’ signature sound.
The EP also features a Hanne and Lore remix of the title track, and B-side “Driving Home.”

Sébastien Léger is a legend and celebrating 20 years as one of the most unique and captivating producers and DJs. Emerging from the “French Touch” movement in his native France in the 90’s, he found inspiration in fellow countrymen like Daft Punk and Laurent Garnier, releasing his first record in 1999. Ever since, the man has been nothing short of prodigious, producing copious amounts of music in various genres and breaking through into the upper echelons of the world’s top DJs. While his techno style developed, he has also touched on electro, peak-time house romps and melody heavy epics, all underpinned by his signature funk and rolling groove. After twenty years in the game, its safe to say there are very few producers that can match his versatility and consistency.
As demonstrated on his countless and diverse classic records from across his career, Léger is a producer who could nail any genre he wanted to, but is someone who prefers to carve his own niche rather than tap into the sound of the moment – and it’s this resolute defiance and desire to be original that ensures his longevity.
If you’re not following him on social media, you really need to be questioning what went wrong with your life. He makes Twitter worthwhile.
